Dave and Leah met on the dance floor at a Halloween Party in 2018. Leah remembers leaving her friends, dressed as Ariel from Footloose to dance around the room. While dancing and checking out costumes, she made eye contact with a very handsome fella (Dave) dressed up as a bottle of Tap Magic. She smiled at him, and he smiled back!

They danced together, with encouragement from Leah's friends, and ended the night talking on the back of Dave's truck. Dave came to find out that Leah had shipped her bicycle across the country that very day and had a one way plane ticket to Seattle for the following Saturday to meet up with her bike and cycle down the west coast, with no real plans for life after the bike trip. Undeterred (and definitely impressed), Dave got her number and they went on two dates that week before she left.

While she was gone for 2+ months, Dave stayed in touch and they got to know each other, which gave Leah the encouragement to return to the Hudson Valley and see what life would be like with Dave in the picture!

Over six years later, including adventures, job changes, promotions, peaks, valleys, and, additions of a house, and a dog (Della!), Dave proposed along the Maury River in Goshen Pass, VA and Leah agreed! Now begins a new chapter in their story!
