Gift Ideas

We are so grateful you are taking the time and making the effort to come to our wedding - it is such a gift in itself! Beyond that, there is no obligation to give us anything more. Truly.

However, since we’ve gotten some requests for gift ideas and our home is already well stocked, here are alternatives to a traditional registry:

  • We have ambitious landscaping goals, so any cash gifts can be used for purchasing compost, mulch, or plants! Gift certificates to Catskill Native Nursery or One Nature would certainly be put to excellent use. (Use Leah.garrard@gmail.com for the email recipient)

  • Gift cards to Home Depot or Lowe’s will always come in handy. Homeownership, right?

  • Last, en lieu of a gift, you can make a donation to one of these small, local organizations that are doing good work in our community.

    • Animal Rescue Foundation Beacon
We adopted our pup Della from here over a year ago! ARF Beacon is an incredible all-volunteer organization and your entire gift goes to support the cats and dogs in ARF’s care.

    • Our Core Newburgh
Our Core is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving marginalized youth in Newburgh, New York. Their mission is to empower marginalized young people to uplift themselves and others through experiential and academic education.

    • Land to Learn
Land to Learn’s work is rooted in gardening, food, community, health, and ecology. Their learner-centered approach fosters understanding and agency within youth in schools, residential centers, virtual classrooms, and other educational settings.

    • Common Ground Farm
Leah was the farm manager here for two years. Common Ground Farm supports and engages our community by fostering access and connection to fresh food and local agriculture through farming, education, and farmers’ markets.
